Mobile Install in ClaIremont: EcoFlow DC-to-DC Charging for a 2020 Subaru Outback (DELTA 2)

If you camp, road trip, or work out of your vehicle, having a portable power station is awesome — until you realize how slow it can be to recharge from a standard 12V outlet.

We just completed a mobile install at a client’s home in Clairemont on a 2020 Subaru Outback, adding an EcoFlow DC-to-DC charging system (EcoFlow 800W Alternator Charger) to charge an EcoFlow DELTA 2 while driving.

Why this upgrade is a game-changer

A typical 12V accessory outlet is often around 100W, which can make recharging a power station feel like it takes forever.

EcoFlow’s alternator charger is designed to pull from the vehicle’s charging system and charge up to 800W max (based on available alternator surplus). EcoFlow also notes it can charge up to 8× faster than a traditional vehicle auxiliary outlet — and for a 1kWh power station like the DELTA 2, they list a recharge time of about 1.3 hours under the right conditions.

Translation: every drive becomes a “refuel” for your camp power.

What we installed

  • EcoFlow 800W Alternator Charger (DC-to-DC charging system)

  • Configured to charge an EcoFlow DELTA 2

Clean, professional mobile install (at the client’s home)

High-power charging setups are all about doing the basics perfectly: safe routing, secure mounting, proper protection, and clean finishing so it’s reliable long-term.

EcoFlow also recommends professional installation — and that’s exactly what we provide, without the hassle of dropping your vehicle off at a shop.

If you’re in San Diego and want a clean alternator-charging setup for camping, overlanding, or mobile work, send us your vehicle info + your EcoFlow model by filling out the quote request form, and we’ll help you plan it out.
