Removing the radio in these vehicles is extremely simple, but retaining the factory amplifier requires more parts than its nonamplified counterpart.

This one was done in Escondido. The Eclipse's Rockford Fosgate factory radio was getting long in the tooth, so we swapped in a JVC receiver with Bluetooth and kept the factory amp running. It's a great reminder that you don't always need to rip out the whole system — sometimes the right head unit is all it takes to bring an older car up to date. If you're in Escondido and your radio feels stuck in the past, this is the fix.
